Octopus (WIP) At Leicester Comedy Festival

The correct plural of octopus is octopuses.
Perhaps if I had tentacles, I’d be better at multitasking. Is my brain inhabited by octopuses? The dream of the fisherman’s wife. These are all thoughts that I’ve had that relate to octopuses. This show may be a repository for these thoughts, or it may be something completely different.

Recommended by British Comedy Guide.
“A naturally funny woman” Chortle ****
“Big belly laughs” Entertainment Focus ****
“Louise’s crazy hair-brained [sic] way of looking at life is uplifting and positive”
Funny Women ****
**** The Wee Review

“Aardvark Mums Solve All Your Problems” at Leicester Comedy Festival

Pauline Eyre and Louise Leigh are Aardvark Mums (because mothering is Aard-verk). They’ve got spare mothering left over now their pups have left the burrow, so they’re using their natural gifts to solve life’s most important problems. Guest comics bring their dilemmas and the Aardvark mums find solutions together with you, the audience, some ancient aardvark wisdom and a selection of kitchen utensils. Award-bothering comedians, Louise and Pauline have considerable comic chops alongside keen ears, the ability to dig fast and a sparse covering of coarse hair. No ants will be harmed in this show.

Octopus at Glasgow International Comedy Festival

I’m delighted to be returning to Glasgow with a new show where I investigate how much I don’t (or do) have in common with Octopuses*.
Things you can expect:
– “a lorry-load of laugh-out-loud stories, observations and metaphors” (**** Chortle).
– It seems I have “the honed ability to extract nuance from wide-reaching well-observed issues that are both unique and very relatable.” (**** Entertainment Focus)
and if you’re really lucky, you might witness my signature move:
“rubs off onto everybody around her.” (**** Funny Women).

Things you cannot expect: I will not be bringing a live octopus on stage. Nor a dead one.

Mostly it will just be me trying to make you laugh for an hour. Doesn’t that sound fun? I think so. Join me, as we explore this magnificent beast together (and the octopus).

*Apparently “octopi” is wrong.. TICKETS
